Zachary Fisher

Zachary James Fisher, tenor, looks forward to his annual return to the Blue Hill Bach Festival. This May he completed his graduate studies at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where he obtained a master’s degree in voice performance and a graduate certificate in choral conducting. Over the past year, Zachary has been heard as the tenor soloist in both the Arcadia Players performance of Charpentier’s Messe de minuit pour Noël as well as UMass’s undertaking of the Mozart Requiem. Zachary was also recently named a winner of the Rhode Island Civic Chorale and Orchestra Vocal Competition, and will appear as the tenor soloist in their upcoming performances of Handel’s Messiah this December. In 2023, he placed first in the New England NATS competition and was also the 2020 winner of the Maine NATS competition. A native of Maine, Zachary graduated from the University of Maine in 2019, where he completed bachelor’s degrees in vocal performance and music education.
