John David Adams is a versatile and accomplished artist, with a career spanning concert, opera, recital, and award-winning vocal ensembles. Noted for the “depth and power” of his singing and “consistently polished and graceful” performances, he has appeared with orchestras and choral ensembles across the United States, in repertoire ranging from Baroque masterworks to world premiere compositions. Concert engagements include the San Francisco Symphony, Portland Symphony, Hartford Symphony, Bangor Symphony, Arlington Philharmonic, Masterworks Chorale, Choral Arts Society, Oratorio Chorale, San Francisco Bach Choir, St. Mary Schola, and the Blue Hill Bach, Portland Bach, White Mountain Bach, and Portland Early Music festivals. His diverse opera and musical stage credits include productions with Opera Boston, San Francisco Lyric Opera, Granite State Opera, Berkeley Opera, and Opera Maine. He attended Hartt School of Music and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and serves on the faculty at Bay Chamber Concerts Music School in Rockport, Maine.
